As well as caring for your body, we help the planet by using recyclable packaging. We do not use sodium laureth sulphate (SLS) or sodium tallowate. We do not test our products on animals.

Good question. The Soap Co gift packs start at only £10 – perfect for the serious curmudgeon but curiously satisfying. If penny-pinching holds no more of a fleeting interest for you, then divert your attention to the pamper hamper – chock-full of bath and body products and a snip at £100.

2. Do you enjoy seeing your lady just as nature intended?
Indeed. Then nourish her skin with handmade soaps, made from the finest ingredients such as essential oils and botanicals. If it is your preference to smother her in animal fats then most common soaps will suffice.

3. Is your lady at home in the bathroom or does she feel ill at ease?

We make our glycerine soap using the melt-and-pour method and set it in hand-crafted wooden moulds. Plant glycerine is supremely moisturising for the skin, and we use an organic base for our soaps, free of parabens and chemical nasties. Will leave your skin smooth, hydrated and gently cleansed. Approximately 125g per bar.

Traditional Soap

Traditional Soaps

Our cold-process bars are made by the most traditional method of soap making. They are a moisturising blend of cocoa butter, palm oil and coconut oil. Each variety is blended by hand and then poured into individually-crafted wooden moulds to set. They are then shaped with a bevelled edge, stamped with our logo and set to cure on specially constructed drying racks. The result is a unique, luxuriously rich bar that will nourish and fragrance the skin.

The Soap Co Edinburgh have a wide range of products perfect for gift shops, spas, independent retailers as well as department stores.

We also have a range of products in smaller sizes, which are suitable for hotels, guest houses and B&Bs. If you prefer liquid soap, we can supply 5 litre bottles of liquid soap suitable for refilling dispensers at bars, restaurants and conference venues.

About Us

The Soap Co Edinburgh was established in 2004 to produce and sell high quality handmade soap and bathroom products. We wanted to recreate products that hold on to old fashioned methods and recipes without compromising on quality, and at the same time reflect the contemporary feel of Edinburgh.

A small business with a social conscience, we try to source our ingredients locally and are moving to becoming even more environmentally responsible. Everyone at The Soap Co Edinburgh takes pride in being involved in what we do and are knowledgeable about our products. You only need to look at the visitors book to see the quality service we offer.

Our best seller is our hard bar soaps made using the traditional cold-process method. This involves the products being cured for 3-4 weeks on special drying racks, the result is a natural soap that is kind and gentle to your skin. Unlike manufactured soaps this traditional method retains a high content of glycerine which locks moisture into the skin. Our products are made using no sodium tallowate, which is an animal fat and is widely used in the production of commercial soaps.

We do not test our products on animals.
